City of Hamilton launches community funding program in celebration of Canada 150
HAMILTON, ON - January 16, 2017 - The City of Hamilton is pleased to announce a community funding program in celebration of Canada’s Sesquicentennial year in 2017. The City of Hamilton ‘Canada 150’ Projects and Events Funding Program launches today to support non-profit organizations’ events and activities that support Canada’s 150th year.
Non-profit organizations may apply for funding to a maximum of $2,000 for events and activities that feature Hamilton people, places and stories that celebrate Canada’s 150th. A total of $100,000 will be available for community activities in 2017.
The City of Hamilton ‘Canada 150’ Projects and Events Funding Program guidelines and application form is available.
The deadline to apply for funding is Friday, March 17, 2017 at 4:30 pm.
Information sessions
Non-profit organizations are invited to attend one of two information sessions to learn more about the funding program. Both information sessions will take place at the Visitor Centre, 1st floor of the Lister Block, 28 James St N:
