Statement by Mayor Fred Eisenberger on the passing of Jack Norris
HAMILTON, ON - It is with sadness we learned of the passing of former Stoney Creek councillor, Jack Norris.
Jack served as a councillor for 16 years beginning in 1973. In addition to his community service career, Jack also served as president of service clubs including The Optimist Club and the Kinsmen Club as well as charitable causes like the Stoney Creek Non-Profit Housing Corporation and the Cancer Society. Jack proudly served in the Knights of Columbus and was named Citizen of the Year 1980 by the Stoney Creek Chamber of Commerce.

Jack passed away peacefully in his 88th year. He leaves behind his wife, Beverley Galassi, his two children, Jennifer (Peter) and John (Sharon) along with his six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The flag at City Hall will be lowered to half-staff on May 21, 2020.
